Call for applications for the 25th CEBE triatlon jeklenih Bohinj

Location Bohinj lake
Start 27.08.2010 at 9.30am at the bridge near St. John's church (530 m above sea level)
Finish Vodnikova koca on Velo polje (1805 m above sea level)
Discipline Rowing 8 km to Ukanc bay and back (kayak)
  Mountain bike 16 km from Bohinj Lake Fuzinarski zaliv - Stara Fuzina Studor Srednja vas Uskovnica mountain pasture parking place under Konjscica mountain pasture (1300 m above sea level)
  Run 8 km along marked mountain route over Konjscica mountain pasture to Vodnik alpine hut (Vodnikova koca) on Velo polje mountain pasture
Applications Due to security and environment protection reasons (Triglav National Park) a limited number of competitors and relays will be able to compete. Organizer shall accept 150 applications for individual categories and 50 applications for relays.

Applications shall be accepted only via internet form (for those having problems with Slovenian language send me e-mail with the following data: name, surname, year of birth, nationality, individual or relay, T-shirt size

Application shall be considered as valid on the day when entry fee is paid.

Registration Saturday, 27 August 2011 from 7.00 am to 8.30 am at the POD SKALCO event place in Ribcev Laz village
Parking Free parking is available at the Labora parking place on the basis of a special tag, placed on the dashboard of the vehicle.
   

RULES OF COMPETITION

  1. The boat must be marked with self-adhesive label; the mountain bike must be marked with attached tag.
  2. During rowing and cycling, the competitor that competes alone shall have the number bib tied around the waste on the back side of the body, during running the bib must be attached on the front side of the body. Relays shall pass their number bids according to disciplines. Competitor or relay that does not have the number bib shall be disqualified.
  3. During cycling the competitors must consider all traffic rules regardless of the fact that during the competition the roads shall be closed for traffic. Cycling helmet is obligatory!
  4. It is allowed to use ski poles during running.
  5. Escort at cycling and running is not allowed.
  6. Delivery of equipment to the switching location BICYCLE RUN (trekking shoes, clothes): competitor may deliver the equipment to the organiser who will bring it to the switching location (BICYCLE RUN)
  7. When picking up the number bib the competitor shall sign the following statement: I am healthy and in well prepared body condition. I am capable of enduring all strains of this demanding competition. I will consider all instructions, provided by the organiser and compete at my own responsibility. I shall not file any appeal or legal action against the organiser due to any loss that I could suffer due to participating at this event.

 

          
REFRESHMENTS

  1. Free refreshment shall be available for all competitors and their escorts at the place where the number bibs are picked up.
  2. Boat-bicycle switching place: isotonic drink, tea, water
  3. Bicycle run switching place: isotonic drink, tea, water
  4. Konjica mountain pasture: water, raisins, bananas, sugar
  5. Jezerca: water
  6. Studorski preval: water
  7. Vodnikova koa (Vodnik alpine hut finish line):soup, tea

Dinner for all competitors (with tags) from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm at the Pod Skalco event place. After the announcement of results, the music group shall entertain the competitors and visitors.

 

ESCORTS WITH CARS!

Cars are not allowed to drive over the Uskovnica mountain pasture (municipality regulation).
You can access the bicycle run switching location by using two roads:

  1. Boh. Jezero - Podjelje - Goreljek - port hotel - Rudno polje (the switching location is 2 km further on towards the Konjica mountain pasture)
  2. Boh. Jezero - Koprivnik - Mrzli Studenec - Rudno polje

 

AWARDS

When the competitors pick up their number bibs they receive T-shirts with triathlon labels. If the competitor crosses the finish line by 2.00 pm, s/he receives a medal, a relay receives three medals. The first three competitors in each category receive cups and other practical awards. The competitors that have participated at the triathlon for the tenth time, shall receive a special award, therefore it is necessary that the number of participations at Bohinj Triathlon is reported until 1 August 2011.

 

ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS AND AWARDING

At 6.00 pm at the Pod Skalco event place.

 

TAKEOVER OF EQUIPMENT AND SAFETY OF COMPETITORS

  • Takeover of boats at rowing finish line until 6.00 pm (takeover possible only with stamped control tag)
  • Takeover of bicycles at switching location until 5.00 pm (takeover possible only with stamped control tag)
  • The safety of competitors shall be enabled by divers (rowing), alpine rescue service and municipal public order officers (cycling and running).

Competition track is the same as in 2009.

PLEASE, READ THE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS THOROUGHLY AND COMPLETE THE APPLICATION FORM CORRECTLY. WE WILL CONSIDER INCOMPLETE APPLICATION FORMS.

APPLICATIONS MADE ON THE DAY OF COMPETITIONS SHALL NOT BE POSSIBLE.
